Position & Purpose

Founded in Milan in 1991 by Roberto Monti and Marisa Guerrizio, Piazza Sempione’s Madison Avenue showroom marked the brand’s first dedicated space in the United States. Echoing the spirit of its Milan headquarters, the space brings the brand’s philosophy to life, where design, craft, and experience blend with quiet confidence.

Design as Discipline

Guided Piazza Sempione's philosophy, the interior reflects the rigor and control of by the brand's vision. An open floor plan and linear display fixtures establish a gallery-like flow, conveying the pursuit of balance and technical mastery through visual simplicity.

Material Clarity

Influenced by Jean Nouvel’s structural precision and Tadao Ando’s geometric restraint, the design translates Milanese tailoring into spatial form. A soft palette of cream, taupe, and charcoal sets the tone for a clean environment. Textures such as mosaic tile, honed stone, and woven wicker introduce depth, while metallic accents and custom lighting highlight the craftsmanship behind each garment within the space.

“For the Piazza Sempione showroom on 57th Street, we approached the interior the way you approach fine tailoring: with clarity, proportion, and control. The goal was to create a space where every line speaks clearly without distraction.”
